Clothing
Right now this
page will have more things, such as tips on how to modify existing
clothes, or how to make clothes from scratch. For now, though here's
pictures and a little description on what I did to modify or make the
clothing, most recent will be at the top.
These
"wolf pants" were ones I made from scratch. I bought a
pattern, McCall's 2360, "Unisex loose fitting wide leg
pants" and some really cute printed fabric of wolves running.
Hopefully people won't mistake these for pajama pants. Since the
pattern is not a pajama pant pattern. Although this picture is
before I hemmed the bottoms, added the button at the top (that's
why I'm wearing the belt), and added the pockets, they have rather
large cargo pockets and belt loops, and a front fly. If only I got
the printed fabric to line up seamlessly, that would've been
sweet.
Since I haven't added the buttons yet, I'm going to try to find
wolf's face buttons for the top button and the cargo pocket
buttons. :3 |

These
pants were existing pants that I had modified. They were
originally beige pants that I got off the discount rack somewhere.
After wearing them to death, they almost got thrown out because I
didn't like the color, I got green paint all over them, bleach
stains on them, and they didn't quite fit anymore. Until one day
when I was dying another fabric I decided to toss these pants in
the leftover dye. I had used a fork to tightly swirl them on the
knees and the butt of the pants and rubber-banded them together as
tightly as I could possibly hold. I was delighted that the dye
resisted the reflective piping, and even more delighted that they
looked awesome in their new color (green paint and bleach stains
and all!). I still had to solve the problem of them not quite
fitting anymore. So I cut them down the side, and tore the rest of
the seam out, I cut a piece of black faux fur to fit, and I sewed
them together! They have quickly became my favorite pants. All
repairs to the pants have been made using black yarn stitching
(not shown). |

These
were the first pants that I had ever modified, you can tell that
they are very worn and loved. These were originally standard black
corduroy pants that were too small for me, which my friend and I
had cut down the side and then torn the rest of the seam out. We
cut a large piece of red faux fur out and sewed it in between the
seam we had taken apart. They have had numerous repairs, all using
either black or red yarn. |
