The Story The peak of the genetic testing was during the 80's... They had been testing animals for years, crossing them with human DNA and creating anthropomorphic "beasts" for the subject of science. When they decided to experiment with cross breeding hybrid animals with the human DNA, they thought breeding the hybrids would change our attributes, like hearing, or speed, and even behavior. The very first tests were crosses of totally opposite animals, and then exotic animals, then animals of the same subspecies. They had been doing pure-breed strains of the anthropomorphic animals for years, tigers, foxes, wolves, cats, etcetera. The cross breeding was new. They would first cross breed the animals through artificial insemination, then the offspring would be the subject of the tests. The whole genetic makeup was changed, and that would create the animal, as it grew up, it would grow like a human would, rather than the animal. Many of them were given serums, which were designed to increase their learning capability and intelligence. In the early tests of the serum, things went horribly wrong and the animals tested became aggressive, self-destructive, or simply insane. I don't remember anything about growing up, other than we were kept in cages and small enclosures most of our lives, we were let out to exercise daily, and then we were tested on. Sometimes the tests were simple, like.. could we use a tool, or could we speak. As we grew, our tests became more complex, and we were taught how to use computers, and do complicated tasks, and our vocabulary was expanded. The smarter ones, and the ones who learned faster were often taught other things. My name is Matrices, they intended me to be a breeding female, but when they found out my genetic combination was sterile, and I could not breed, they put me and (what I believe to be) my brother, Mukilteo, together with the others. We were one of the hybrid experimentations, where they crossed a wolfdog with a fox. They administered the serum to Mukilteo, and as a result he advanced in learning. I learned the same amount, just over a longer period of time. ........To
